High Vibration Long-Life Brushless Vibration Motor Released
electric motors, Vibrating Motor, Vibration Motor
A new cylindrical brushless vibrating motor is now available at Precision Microdrives. Brushless vibration motors have a significantly improved lifetime over 'brushed' vibration motor counterparts as the internal construction removes the main source of failure - the precious metal brushed wearing against the commutator. Brushless vibrating motor
Many design considerations (such as mechanical mounting) for ERM vibrating motors are similar for the 912-101 brushless vibration motor as it produces vibrations in the same way. The motor uses a low supply voltage and has a small size, but has a comparatively high vibration amplitude.
It is ideal for use in heavy-duty applications requiring frequent or sustained vibrations over long periods of time. Examples includes, aiding the flow of materials through a chute, agitating liquids and emulsifiers, or helping sort pills / components on a production line. The mechanical aid field demands high usage rates with minimal services which brushless vibration motors meets such requirements.
The 912-101 brushless vibrating motor is powered from 5V and can achieve 30 G in vibration strength. It measures at 12 mm diameter and 15 mm in length. This vibration motor is roughly double the strength of similar sized ERMs. For more information on how to drive the 912-101, read the Application Bulletin 018 : Driving Brushless Vibration Motor on Precision Microdrives' website.
