How does it work?
z The term Lifo® stands for Life Orientations®
z The Lifo® Method is a tried and tested, practical, positive, strengths-based methodology
z It uses a Personal Style Survey which enables individuals to understand how they operate under stress and in calmer circumstances.
z The Lifo® Survey is not a test; there are no right or wrong answers.
z It identifies four distinct behaviour styles, each with different strengths, drivers and motivations that generate different behaviour patterns which we all have in combination
z It helps a person identify their unique profile of strengths and gives them a roadmap to develop further
z Lifo® helps people understand where their impact on others does not match their intentions and provides a shared language to discuss any issues that arise from this.
z Lifo® helps identify the values that drive an individual’s behaviour as well as the values of an organisation and gives pointers to how the two can align.
z The Lifo® survey can be delivered online or as pencil and paper and is supported by a wide range of resources including workbooks and training materials to enhance personal and team development.
Where did it come from?
This practical methodology is based on a sound psychological model that can be applied equally to individuals, teams and organisations.
It was developed by Stuart Atkins and Allan Katcher and is based upon the work of Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, Eric Fromm and Peter Drucker.
The Lifo® Method has been used for over thirty years in more than 30 countries around the world and is translated into 18 different languages – it has truly stood the test of time.
