The possibility of a fire starting can be reduced by the use of flame retardants applied to flammable polymers. Flame retardants reduce fire danger and burning behavior of polymer materials used in the interior of residential and public buildings such as theatres, visual objects, hotels, restaurants and transport facilities. The products cause the slow burning of polymers, release less smoke, heat and toxic gases. CSE – 96 are innovative phosphorus and nitrogen containing salt solutions. Their capillary activity changes, depending on the treated materials and the different surfactants added into the main solution of CSE-96.Nitrogen compounds exhibit synergy with phosphorus-containing flame retardants by enhancing their action, which explains the effectiveness of the products CSE-96 in the fire protection of porous polymeric materials. Flame retardants CSE-96 are non-corrosive to metal parts of equipment for production, transport and machinery for industrial application. The composition is environment friendly because it is halogen –free, the treated materials are biodegradable and recyclable.
