UBIFRANCE, the French Trade Commission in London, will be hosting a stand at the Pharmacy Show 2011, which will take place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham (in England), from 9 to 10 October. UBIFRANCE will accompany five French companies at the event and will be situated on stand H110.
The companies participating via UBIFRANCE this year are innovative manufacturers of supplements, pharmaceutical equipment and other over-the-counter (OTC) pharmacy products. The companies are listed below, but further details can be provided on request.
GECIS has more than 30 years’ experience in medical and pharmaceutical research. At the Pharmacy Show 2011 the company will present the Easycount CD5, a compact and user-friendly tablet counter. The product is reasonable in price thanks to the use of a system of discs designed to feed the items of various sizes and shapes to be counted, where traditional counters use expensive, vibrating bowl feeders. This tablet-counter concept is innovative, versatile and can be used on its own or within a production line, with little need for modification.
LABORATOIRE BIOPHARME is a specialist in manufacturing, developing and promoting pharmaceutical and OTC products, medical devices and cosmetics. LABORATOIRE BIOPHARME’s products are perfectly adapted to contemporary needs, such as the necessity of speed. They simplify the consumer’s experience due to practical and easy usage.
At the Pharmacy Show 2011, LABORATOIRE BIOPHARME will be presenting its patented single-use concepts and revolutionary single-use applicators, which are an innovation in the primary-care field. It will also be looking to establish a partnership with a British distributor.
La maison du Stevia
Native to South America and used by the American Indian tribes, Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni is a plant which is known for its sweetening properties. La maison du Stevia has developed a range of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni-based products such as sweeteners, jams and beverages.
With its products being distributed in pharmacies, health shops and on the Internet in France and Belgium, La maison du Stevia is now looking for a distributor in the UK.
PiLeJe is a French laboratory that, 20 years ago, founded micronutrition — a concept that consists of correcting and optimising the micro-nutritional status of each individual, after having analysed the impact of different micronutrients on his or her health.
At the Pharmacy Show 2011, PiLeJe will be presenting its four product ranges: Probiotics and Prebiotics (for which it is a leader in France), Nutritional Supplements, Cell Protection and Dietary Products. It is seeking a partnership in order to supply its products on the British market.
Using research and technology from the textiles and cosmetic industries, Skin’Up® has created and developed a worldwide range of micro-metric capsule-based cosmetic fabrics. The materials rely on active, cosmetic micro-capsules containing plant and fruit extracts that are released when the fibres extend and distend, providing numerous benefits for the body. Each product contains a patented indicator, which displays the percentage of microcapsules left.
Skin’Up® has also created a refill "Mist" that can be applied after the loss of microcapsules following sport, for example, thus prolonging the cosmetic effects of the material.
The company has four ranges including Slimming, Anti-tiredness, Sports and Spa Body Care. It is looking for a British distributor.
