During this 14-week beginners course, introducing the basics of tai chi and qigong, you will learn a set of easy and beneficial qigong exercises, and you will learn the first part of the Beijing 24-step tai chi form, as well as developing basic tai chi skills, for example in stepping and partnerwork.
The benefits of tai chi practice include:
- relaxation of body and mind, combatting stress
- increased flexibility and core strength
- higher energy levels
- developing mental focus
- improvements in self-confidence and health
After the 14 weeks, students can re-enrol for further terms, in which they can complete the 24-step form, learn further qigong sets, and develop and deepen their knowledge of tai chi and qigong.
