South London Wine School, in collaboration with Luciano’s Ristorante in Lee and Barcelona Tapas Restaurant in Dulwich, will host a brand new series of food and wine matching evenings, especially for the residents of South East London. These events are taking place in June 2015 and will be an original collaboration of local businesses, aimed at providing new gastronomical experiences for local foodies by combining the wine knowledge and tastings skills of South London Wine School with the incredible authentic food of top quality independent restaurants Julia from South London Wine School says: “At both my own events and the restaurants we often get asked about the best food and wine matches. What better way to show how it’s done, than to taste them together?” Luciano’s, recently named Open Table’s best Italian restaurant in South East London, will be hosting an Italian food and wine matching masterclass on Wednesday 17th June. As well as a selection of traditional Italian dishes and delicious Italian wines, South London Wine School will be teaching about flavour combinations and the diversity of Italian wines. At Barcelona Tapas on 23rd June, it’s all about Spain. This family run business now has three branches across London, and prides itself on the great food and atmosphere in the restaurants. With South London Wine School guiding tasters through a varied list of Spanish wines and authentic Tapas dishes to match, customers will be amazed at the difference a good match can make. Each evening will feature five wines with five foods to match, and will be a true exploration of each countries food and wine culture. Tickets for both are £35 and can be booked through
