Croydon, UK: Time 4 Me is a Not For Profit Organisation providing youth counselling services and community services in Croydon.
Time 4 Me isa one of its kind, Not For Profit Organisation that provides youth counselling in Croydon to strengthen young people and develop community values within them. The sole objective of Time 4 Me is to deliver the best ethical services to young people and their families, to empower them, and help develop their emotional health and relationships. Time 4 Me has some highly skilled volunteer therapists, who support the community and other agencies in Croydon. These volunteers arevery well attuned to the organisation’s mission and ethics of work. The idea behind serving the community is to develop and strengthen the family to help build stronger relationships within the family and community as a whole.
The other most important area of Time 4 Me is “Play Therapy”. Time 4 Me in partnership with several schools, children’s centres, youth centres and other agencies, organises “Play Therapy” sessions within Croydon and other adjoining boroughs. The benefit of play therapy is to help younger children express their innermost thoughts and feelings through play, which can be a much more effective and safer way for these children to communicate. Time 4 Me has a varied range of highly qualified therapists providing therapy and clinical supervision, who have enhanced DBS disclosures and who work within the code of ethics and conduct of the BACP.
The main objective of Time 4 Me is to empower young people and equip them with the skills to manage life’s challenges. By working within schools, we are able to support more children within their familiar settings and as part of their regular daily routine. In this way we can bring about a more effective change in their lives which they will be able to carry with them into their adult lives. The school counselling service operates in primary and secondary schools, mainstream and special education as well as state schools and independent schools. The school counselling service is a flexible service which works in line with each individual schools timetable. Each session lasts between 45 and 50 minutes and takes place within a dedicated space within the schools premises. In addition to the children’s therapy sessions, the therapists also worked closely with the school staff and are able to provide consultations, supervision and counselling for staff members and parents.
