The Namibian Nomad is a 22 day overland safari from Livingstone, Zambia to Cape Town, South Africa also travelling through Botswana and Namibia.  We suggest arriving in Livingstone a few days before the start of the safari to see the Victoria Falls and to part-take in the wide range of adventure activities that are available on and around the Zambezi River.

We visit Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta in Botswana before crossing into the relative aridity of Namibia.  Two nights are spent in "the place of dry water" - Etosha National Park allowing time to see the vast array of wildlife that gathers at the water pans - lion, elephant, rhino, giraffe, gemsbok and cheetah. In the evenings we can game view at the flood lit water holes.

Visiting a cheetah sanctuary before arrive in Swakopmund where we stay in a lodge for a few nights. Here you might choose to go sand boarding or quad biking on the dunes, sea fishing in the southern Atlantic or skydiving.  Township tours provide an opportunity to meet the locals.
Driving into the Namib Desert we arrive in Sossusvlei for walks on the 300 meter high dunes and to view the gorgeous red-gold colours at sunrise.  Onto the Fish River canyon - reputedly only second in size to the Grand Canyon. We visit Ai Ais Hot Springs before crossing the Orange River and entering South Africa where we travelling south through the western Capes winelands to Cape Town.
