Stop at the Royal drum makers en-route to Rwanda and the misty Virunga's where you can trek to see some of the endangered mountains gorillas. Visit the Genocide museum in Kigale and a childrens orphanage.

Travel around the south of Lake Victoria to Tanzania's world renown reserves of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Take game drives in the parks for a chance to see lion, giraffe, elephant, rhino, zebra and so much more. The Serengeti is particularly famous for the migration of over 2. 5 million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle which start arriving back on the plains in late November and have their calves on the southern plains around February.

This is also the land of the cattle-heading Maasai who can be seen throughout the regions in their distinctive red blankets. Visit a traditional Maasai village and school.
