I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I have worked with people from very diverse backgrounds with some of the issues listed as below

I have extensive knowledge and experience of working in Mental Health in the NHS - Voluntary Sector and privately and have been a member of BACP throughout my practice which means I offer my client's a high standard of care. I have been working under the BACP ( British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines with regular supervision and I adhere to its code of ethics.
I offer Counselling to Adults, Adolescents and Couples on a short term as well as long term basis.
When we meet for the first time, it is important that you feel relaxed and are able to express whatever is important to you.
I work on a long term basis with a humanistic model which means you are in charge of your sessions and I facilitate your therapeutic process with utmost care and professionalism. I apply CBT techniques where we examine the role of your thoughts (cognitions) on your negative emotions and behaviour. In becoming more aware of your thinking patterns, we can begin to evaluate which are more and less helpful and begin to replace the less helpful ones with thoughts that are empowering and move you forwards towards positive change. The end result is, helping you overcome particular issue which you may be experiencing such as phobia, addiction or insomnia.
If you have a relationship problem or are experiencing difficulties in your marriage and when both of you agree to see a Counsellor, sometimes it is best to tackle it before it is to late.. Counselling will give you a neutral space where feelings may be openly expressed and heard.
I offer clinical supervision to Counsellors, trainee Counsellors and other practitioners working in the helping professions. I offer a positive/collaborative approach to your client work and help you to learn from your weaknesses and to develop your strengths in order to help your clients in the best way. The client is always at the heart of the work in Supervision.
