Cocktail making at home - tips on where to find some of the rare ingredients. We are often asked where to find some cocktail ingredients such as creme de cacao and creme de menthe.

These are 2 classic cocktail ingredients and deserve to be more widely available. Creme de Menthe is fairly easy to find in off licences, but less common in supermarkets unless you go to a big one. I believe Asda at Corby sells it at a reasonable price.

Creme de Cacao should be much easier to buy then it is : it's a key ingredient in both the Grasshopper and the the Brandy Alexander but you won't find it in many supermarkets.

So our tip is simply key in the name of the drink you want into Google and see what you get. Sites we've dealt with and can recommend are thedrinkshop.com and drinkon.com. They both carry a wide range of products and at reasonable prices. However adding on postage makes them a bit expensive compared with what supermarkets sell at. Still beggars can't be choosers !

Have fun !
