Our very popular puppy class is held on a Monday night from 6:30 until 7:30 at the United Reform Church, High Street, Whetstone, Leicester (next door to the Wheatsheaf Pub). Puppies have a thirst for learning and their enthusiasm is encouraged with a reward based training system. There are always two trainers in attendance at all of our classes. Neither puppies nor older dogs are ever punished and there is no harsh handling. Our classes are friendly and informal and we are careful not to put any pressure on the puppies. Our aim is to build confidence to produce a happy, stress free and obedient dog. During the 6 week course we aim to cover all the basics including sit, down, stand, stay, recall and leadwork. Additionally we teach you how to get your puppy to focus on you. The course also covers common problems such as jumping up and play biting. We believe that its very important for puppies to meet people and children and to learn to play nicely with other dogs. For this reason we include a short period of supervised off lead socialisation in each of our puppy classes. All of the family is welcome to attend
