Late Spring & Summer
It will be necessary to increase the frequency of mowing to at least once a week. Adjust the mowing height to at least 25mm, this will help retain moisture giving a more lush appearance. Never cut more than one third off of the leaf in one cut, doing so will bruise therefore distress the plant yellowing the leaf giving an unhealthy appearance.

Early Spring, Autumn & Winter
If weather conditions allow it is always good practice to mow your lawn throughout the year. During the cooler months it is good to mow the lawn shorter. This allows the surface moisture to evaporate stopping lawns becoming waterlogged.

Alternate Your Mowing Direction
Never mow your lawns in the same direction. Each time you mow start and finish in a different place. As well as mowing your lawn vertically try a diagonal stripe.
