Level 5 Diploma in Sports Therapy 'Top-up'

The pre-requisite for our Level 5 Top-up is the BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Sport & Remedial Massage. Proof of qualification must be produced when booking onto this course. If you have any other qualifications, such as VTCT, ITEC, Foundation Degree at level 4 and above etc please look at our briging programme or ask about Accreditaion of Prior Learning. Due to the nature of this fast track course, you will need previous competency in soft tissue therapy which would exceed basic massage techniques. You will need to be able to use clinical judgement in identifying, treating and giving comprehensive aftercare for soft tissue injuries. There will be a final practical and written assessment at the end of each programme. We reserve the right to refuse an application for the top-up diploma. Applications for the top-up diploma will only be accepted upon agreeing to it being a pass or fail course, with no free, inclusive re-sits. Any candidate not meeting the assessment criteria would be required to attend futher workshops at £100 per day, and a further assessment day at £150. A bridging programme is available which will enable those with certain sports massage and sports therapy qualifications to attend modules of our sports therapy course and be assessed for the full qualifications we offer. Qualifications we accept for this programme: FdSc Sports Therapy Sports Rehab & Education (SST) - Diploma in Sports Therapy Northern Institute of Massage (SST/NAMMT) - Diploma in Sports Therapy Barnes School of Sports Therapy - Diploma in Sports Therapy VTCT, ITEC, CIBTAC - Sports Massage Therapy at Level 4 and 5 Entry onto this programme is via the following: Initial Assessment at one of our registered centres - Manchester, Lincoln, London, Bristol and Plymouth. Cost: £100 (non refundable). To be paid upon enrolment. Bridging Programme Fee: £400. To be paid upon acceptance onto the programme. This fee covers course materials, registration, assessment and certification. Once an intial assessment has been undertaken, a list of modules that will need to be covered will be given. Attendance on these modules will then be required. A final written and practical assessment will be required. Attendance fee: £125 per day/part day, paid in advance.
