Commerical Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's)

Since the 4th January 2009 all Commercial (Non-Domestic) Properties require an Energy Performance Certificate when being sold or let. This is a legal requirement which is being enforced by Trading Standards, with fines of up to £5000 for non-compliance.
An EPC is required BEFORE a property is placed on the market
Exemptions to this are as follows:
- Stand-alone buildings which are less than 50m2 (840sqft) is size
- Buildings, where the interior is not conditioned, or where there is no intention or reasonable belief that the interior will be conditioned.
