Developed from technology initial targeted at space applications ISI is pleased to announce the launch of its new high throughput / etendue spectrometer and Raman spectrometer. Unlike other devices the spectrometer requires no slit and does not suffer the throughput loss commonly accepted. The high etendue of the system allows it to be coupled to a 1 mm diameter Fibre making it ideal for incorporation into other instruments. The flexible design offer a range of spectra specifications that can be adapted to the user end needs. The instrument has been used as a stand-off device studying small sample of liquid (a few mm) at a stand-off distance of 2.5 m for the petrochemical industry taking measurements within a gas pipe line. Ideal as a lab based instrument or as an OEM system the ISI spectrometer offers a step change in the performance that can be achieved from a competitively priced spectrometer. The high etendue potentially opens up a range of applications that are currently limited to using tuneable Michelson Interferometer based instruments or complex spectrometer coupled with large fibre bundles to achieve a good Signal to Noise in a short integration time.
