We pride ourselves in an efficient, personal service combining modern methods with traditional values.
Nowadays there are numerous conveyancing services offered by Internet brokers and through agents, often quoting extremely low professional fees and guaranteeing individual attention, speedy and accurate responses to requests for information, “case tracking” and legal expertise of the highest calibre.
In truth the adage “you get what you pay for” still tends to apply. Conveyancing can only be offered at these very low prices by employing a “factory system”. This typically means that companies employ large numbers of often inexperienced caseworkers who operate completely standardised systems, under the close supervision of a number of more experienced supervisors, on a model similar to the now infamous “call centre”. Clients can only access the caseworkers, who in turn can only provide “standard” information. They will probably not be able to help you with any but the most obvious questions.
These companies tend to make a virtue of the fact that “no meetings are necessary”. To us this translates as “we don’t want to see our clients even if they want to see us”, and this speaks volumes about the sort of service actually offered.
At Tassells we:
- Provide accurate estimates at the outset of every transaction and detail all the expenses likely to be involved
- Charges fees which are fair and competitive for the conscientious and professional service which we provide
- Employ e-mail and internet services to ensure that the work is carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Guarantee not only that you will always be able to speak to someone about your case, but that you will be given helpful, accurate and up-to-date information. We do not have to duck your “non-standard” questions because we do not limit ourselves to “standard” answers
Moving house is recognised as an extremely stressful experience and we see our role as supporting our clients at all times in the process. Please contact one of our specialist conveyancing staff, Marion Paskell or Mary Skellam, if you need more information.
