This plumbing and heating engineer course is ideal if you want to combine becoming a Fully Qualified Plumber with becoming a Gas Safe Qualified Gas Engineer. You will benefit from achieving your NVQ level 2 in Plumbing, which means you will be a fully qualified plumber allowing you to gain your PHMES Card, and also become Gas Safe Qualified by completing a portfolio of evidence and your ACS examinations.
You will learn the basics including how to use copper fittings and pipework, install hot water cylinders and water tanks, airing cupboards and install a bathroom suite complete with hot and cold pipework, sanitation plus install and connect central heating radiators. On your plumbing and heating course you will also test and purge domestic gas installations, work on combustion, flue and ventilation controls for gas appliances, install gas pipe work and domestic gas appliances including cookers, fires and boilers and the commissioning and servicing of domestic gas appliances.

- Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems Certificate
- Plumbing NVQ Level 2
- Intensive gas foundation course covering all principles and applications.
- Work placement to produce a portfolio under the supervision of a Gas Safe engineer.
