We offer appointments within 14 days from an initial enquiry. However are often able to accommodate families who require an assessment within a shorter time frame. We can often proceed straight to therapy if you have a recent report from a speech and language therapist (e.g. NHS report) Summary assessments include taking a case history, assessment of speech language and communication and a written summary report. Detailed assessments, such as those for a Statutory Assessment, include the above plus a visit by the therapist to see the impact of a communication difficulty on your child in an Educational Environment. Assessments used are more comprehensive and thorough. It may also involve a discussion with you and any other professionals. Treatment can be provided in whichever setting your child would feel most comfortable in or wherever you prefer e.g. your home, Ryde clinic or nursery or school setting.
