The interior scheme for London’s newest high-end chippy was the remit of retail and restaurant refurbishment specialists Du Boulay Contracts. They transformed the interior and exterior of the building to deliver an authentic blend of industrial and vintage styling, with colourful prints, 1940’s furniture, bare lightbulbs and clapboard panels enhancing the restaurant’s unique look and feel.
A Howe Green 5000 series aluminium access cover was fitted into quarry-tiled steps leading to The Fish & Chip Shop’s impressive show kitchen to unobtrusively cover all the kitchen’s essential mains drainage services and provide fast access to them for easy maintenance.
Our access covers are designed to be virtually invisible. They can be fitted into all types of hard floor finish and are manufactured to sit perfectly flush with their surround to prevent any slips or trips – essential with the heavy pedestrian traffic in a busy restaurant.
They also provide the highest possible standards of hygiene and safety making them the ideal choice for restaurants, kitchens and other food preparation areas. Double-sealed on the top edge to prevent water or bacteria ingress, Howe Green access covers will remain corrosion and maintenance-free over their lifetime, ensuring The Fish & Chip Shop can keep the kitchen open and the cod and chips coming.
Commenting on their selection of access cover for the project, Annabel MacDonald-Haig of Du Boulay Contracts said, “We have used Howe Green for many years and have always found them to be a reputable and efficient company who deliver a good product”.
