In partnership with the New Forest National Park and Natural England, a new copse of 700 trees was plantedin March 2013, threaded with nectar strips. Long sections of hedge were improved with infill plants and several hundreds of metres of hedge were laid to improve the thickness of the lower sections. The project was initiated by the NF National Park to link up the traditional Forest with its contingent land in order to improve the movement and safety of wildlife and insects.Bisterne Estate is very grateful to its partners for helping with the funding and expertise necessary to undertake this complex project in a short period of time.
