TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensor valves)

TPMS systems are becoming more common in cars, and as from November 2012 all new cars will have some form of monitoring. TPMS valves fail due to two main reasons: 1). The stems on some of the older versions suffer from galvanic corrosion and the valve breaks up causing air loss, 2). The sender unit has a sealed battery that only lasts 5 to 7 years, at which point it must be changed.
We at Hometyre can supply and fit new TPMS valves far cheaper than most dealers.
We can even suppy and fit complete systems for vehicles that have never had them fitted previously. A lot of caravan owners have them fitted as it is difficult to know when you have a puncture when towing a caravan or trailer. Even Motorhome / Motorcaravans benefit from having their tyres monitored due to the higher pressures they operate at.
