The treatment of sports related problems has grown over recent years, due to the vast increase in leisure activities and the interest in sport and fitness. The demand for a therapist with a wide based knowledge will always find plenty of opportunities to find work. Since the announcement of the London Olympic Games in 2012, Sports Therapists have been in great demand, and its success has led to more people taking up sporting activities, and using the services of a Sports Therapist. Sports treatments vary greatly from sports massage routines to help prevent injuries, maintain suppleness and improve performance, to full treatments using electrotherapy. Sports Therapists are also involved in rehabilitating after injury, and in promoting fitness through exercise.
