Lauren Benfield, Year 3 teacher at Oakwood School said it was: "A fantastic day for the children. They learnt a lot of valuable sculpture skills and created some beautiful sculptures. Mr Garrard was brilliant and explained step by step how to model the components fix the sculpture together and apply the finishes. The children were very enthusiastic about these projects and experienced wonderful learning experience"'.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I can take away the work made during the workshop and glaze and fire it. I can then deliver or you can collect it three to four weeks after the session.
Alternatively the students can use air drying clay and paint it once it is fully dry
I can supply a risk assessment for each pottery workshop.
I have public liability insurance up to £5m.
Group Size is dependent on the activity but can be 15 to 30 per session up to whole schools.
I have worked with many groups of varying abilities and experience.
Costs £100 for a half day/£175 full day workshop.
There are also additional costs for any materials I provide and glazing, firing and delivery of pottery when finished. This costs from £1 to £15 per person and is dependent on the scale of the work and the number of people participating.
