Every animal, from a quiet family pet to a fit competing athlete will experience emotional stress, physical strains and musculoskeletal imbalance. Symptoms of discomfort can include imbalanced paces, shying when petted or groomed, a decline in physical performance, knocking fences down, yelping when getting up or down, behavioural changes or problems and an overall decline in general health Massage therapy can release areas of tension throughout the body by enhancing blood circulation & removal of toxins, decreasing heart rate, and encouraging muscle relaxation. This will enable a natural healing process to take place within the body, helping the animal regain optimum performance and health The initial consultation will take approximately an hour and a half. In this session, a full veterinary history will be taken, the animal will be seen walked and trotted and a full body musculoskeletal alignment assessment will be performed. An assessment of saddle, bridle or walking leash can be done if felt necessary. The massage therapy will involve gentle soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, and stretching. Finally, a personalised after care and rehabilitation regime will be prescribed. Regular maintenance appointments can be arranged if it is felt the animal may benefit from further treatment All Equine & Canine InitialConsultations and Treatments are £25 A small petrol charge may incur for treatments outside of Gloucestershire. Please contact for further details.
