Each session focuses on a section of scripture and explores what is going on around the event or what lies behind what is being said. The aim is to get a better understanding of the purpose of God. There is lively discussion which brings the text to life and gives valuable insight. The group usually numbers about 12 and is made up from those who attend various churches as well as those who do not attend any church. Come and join us on Tuesdays, 7.30 – 8.30 pm except in school holidays. The ancillary equipment used is A1-sized flipchart paper, an easel, and coloured marker pens.

The Bible - The Key to Your Future
It’s an unusual combination: the oldest book and the future. The Bible is the oldest book and it does hold the key to your future. It explains why God created the world and what he plans for its future. The Bible helps us to make a choice about the sort of future we want.

So if it is so straightforward why don’t more people get a grip on their future? The answer is that many doubt that the Bible is true. For some its very age is a problem. They believe it is a collection of legends and folklore about mythical characters. The reality is very different. The people and the places in the Bible are very real. You don’t have to go to Israel, Iran or Iraq to see the evidence, there is a lot to look at in London WC1. The British Museum has many inscriptions in both metal and stone, weapons of war, coins, tableware and everyday utensils that back up the Bible record.

Looking at things that have survived for thousands of years shows that the Bible is not about legends and mythical characters, but about real people and real places. This is not the only way to test the reliability of the Bible and we can send you other tests that you can use to check it out.

All Seminars are Free-of-Charge. You may want to view the current seminar page which gives you a full introduction to the current Seminars.

Alternatively, you might want to use the Site Search engine, available on the Site Map, or those of the Search Engine Page (both available from the Home Page). Use of a good Bible is essential, and use of a Concordance, Dictionary, and a selection of Commentaries would not go amiss. These are also availble (free)  from the Site Map Page   under Miscellaneous. We look forward to seeing you!
