Intelligent Penguin decided to attend the .
Overall, the event was a great sucess. Being our first exhibition, we perhaps didn't know what to expect, but the experience was a very enjoyable one. We had decided we would like to have some screens at the show to showcase the Intelligent Penguin portfolio, and display the services we offer. This made us really stand out from the crowd.
The exhibition gave us a chance to meet new people, and we really did! The morning session was very busy, with lots of people to chat with, swapping contact details and discussing new ideas and concepts with business owners.
It's always good to meet people face to face, get the chance to chat and talk about their business problems and how we can solve them at Intelligent Penguin. There were lots of interesting possible propositions, some of which will be joining the Intelligent Penguin portfolio in the future.
One big benefit for us was having on hand at the exhibition. We could send over clients to speak to her about the great work we did on her own site. You can see Jason holding a particularly snazzy Heather Nesbitt leaflet in the photo! Thanks Heather!
Another oppurtunity was seeing some of the competition, and while this might seem odd, it's always reassuring. The fact is, web developers specialise in areas, and while they might not be experts in other areas, we can always provide our services to assist them. One area of particular interest in Intelligent Penguin is our .Net skills.
But aside from all that business selling, It isn't always about selling the brand, or what you can offer, it's also as much as selling the people. People were particularly interested in Paul's story, of starting the business, growing it, getting more customers, taking on employees. Paul was on hand to give out lots of useful advice to people looking to make leaps of their own.
Overall, the exhibition was a success, and I'm sure here at Intelligent Penguin we will be visiting many more in the future. We even now have a snazzy new banner, so we best get on and use it!
