This CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course enables delegates to understand the legal, moral, social and welfare responsibilities under the candidates management on sites and gives guidance on how to manage the health and safety on site in accordance with current legal requirements. Content of the SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme):- • Management of Health & Safety & Welfare at Work Regulations • CDM Regulations • Site Set Up & Management of Contractors • Health & Safety Communication and Training • Risk Assessment • Method Statements • Excavations • Demolition • Electricity • Fire Protection • Scaffolding • Confined Spaces • Combination of group/individual projects and a multiple choice assessment paper taken on the last day. Assessment: What is SMSTS assessment? The SMSTS course is covered in 5 days and it is mandatory for the candidate to attend all 5 days in sequential order. This course can be carried out in a 5 day block or 1 day a week over a 5 week period with each day being approx 7 hours and typically starting at 8.30am. This course is classroom based. On successful completion of the course a 5 year nationally recognised CITB SMSTS certificate will be awarded.
