Dedicated support in your specialist sector
There are thousands of trade associations throughout the UK, focused upon supporting specialist markets and the businesses that operate within them. Their primary membership are SMEs and micro businesses, which can benefit from shared promotion, buying power, areas of standardisation and a voice in Government.
As corporate business grows, an increasing number of trade associations are seeking strength and continuity through closer partnerships with other organisations. The challenge in any partnership is how to retain your areas of specialisation, whilst leveraging the wider benefits of shared management.
Speciality retail sector associations have historically been dominated by supply based businesses, brought together through event management and a sector focused campaign strategy. As trade events have fallen into decline and consistent Governments have refined their focus to ‘small business’ - as opposed to sector specific needs - this model of association is proving unsustainable.
