Hedging and Screening
Hedging plants, evergreen hedging, Farm Hedging
Deciduous and evergreen plants suitable for farm and garden hedges and also plants for instant evergreen screening up to about 5 metres tall. Bareroot plants can be planted from November to early April while container grown plants can be planted all year round.
These low cost deciduous hedging plants are suitable for planting both for garden hedges and for larger scale planting on farms etc. They are grown in the soil and supplied packed in bags but the roots do not have soil on - hence bareroot - and can only be safely transplanted when the plants are dormant between mid November and early April. We can deliver during this period to all locations in the UK. These plants may need protection from rabbits etc and will benefit from weed control around the base of the plant during the first year after planting.
Mainly deciduous hedging plants but grown in containers rather than in the ground and so can be planted all year round. They are generally bushier than the bareroot equivalant and are ideal for creating an instant effect.
Evergreen hedging plants are grown in containers to ensure successful establishment since unlike deciduous plants they do not transplant well when grown in the soil. Some smaller may require protection from rabbits.
