Fruit trees All English Woodlands fruit trees and bushes are grown in containers and are generally grafted onto rootstocks that grow to a medium size. They can be planted at any time of year. We also offer trained fruit trees e.g fans and espaliers. Apples Apple trees are mostly grown on MM106 rootstocks and will grow to 4 or 5 metres at maturity. They may require a pollinator except for Cox and Scrumptious which are self fertile. They are container grown and can be planted all year round. Cherries Cherry trees are mostly grown on Colt rootstocks and will grow to 3 to 3.5 metres at maturity. They are self-fertile and therefore do not require a pollinator. They are container grown and can be planted all year round. Pears Pear trees are mostly grown on Quince A rootstock and therefore grow to 4 or 5 metres at maturity. They may require a pollinator except for Concorde and Conference which are self fertile. They are container grown and can be planted all year round. Plums and Damson Plum trees are mostly grown on St Julian A rootstocks and will grow to 4 to 5 metres at maturity. They are self-fertile and therefore do not require a pollinator. They are container grown and can be planted all year round. This category includes Gages and Damsons. Other fruit These include Nuts Quince Medlar and Mulberry. All are container grown and can therefore be planted all year round.
