Best selling authors visit the hotel quarterly to speak about their latest books. For £16 you can attend one of the Literary Lunches, which includes a glass of champagne on arrival;  a three-course lunch with wine, followed by a talk by the author, a question and answer session, then a chance to have copies of the book signed.

The next lunches planned are:
28th February 2011         Journalist and broadcaster WILLIAM SHAWCROSS - official biographer of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother
31st March 2011            Restaurateur and cookery writer KATIE CALDESI will speak about her new book 'The Italian Cookery Course'
27th April 2011               Legendary BBC television director HAROLD SNOAD with his book "It's Bouquet, not Bucket!". Harold directed sitcoms such as 'Are You Being Served?' and 'Dad's Army', and directed five series plus Christmas specials of 'Keeping Up Appearances' starring Patricia Routledge as the social climbing Hyacinth Bucket.
