Some people find traditional face to face counselling a bit overwhelming, and Walk & Talk therapy can be a good alternative as walking side by side can be less intimidating, and it can help release inhibition.
Walk & Talk is not a fitness session but it is often more dynamic than a traditional indoor session. You lead the pace, and walking side by side you’re looking ahead. If you have felt stuck in therapy in the past, being physically active releases some tension and stimulates new thought and ideas. It is a metaphor for moving forward.
