Argweld® Water Soluble Purge Dam Film from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited thumbnail

Argweld® Water Soluble Purge Dam Film

The ARGWELD® purge material makes dams which produce an impenetrable purge barrier but which can easily be washed away when hydrostatically testing the pipe or just by normal wash out. It dissolves away completely without leaving any fibres to clog up filters or other sensitive parts in a system and it is strong in all directions so that it can maintain a good gas barrier throughout the purging process. Trace element certification can be provided to show that ARGWELD® purge film does not contain

Argweld® Heat Resistant Pipe Purging Systems from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited thumbnail

Argweld® Heat Resistant Pipe Purging Systems

Operation The system is connected to an inert gas supply and inserted into the pipe to be welded. The spinal connection hose is long enough for the dams to sit at the outer edge of the pre-heated zone. After positioning the system the argon source is opened, the dams inflated to size and the interspace purged. The purge will remain on during pre-heat and welding. The system should be removed prior to post weld heat treatment. Don't use “Home made” devices such as foam or cardboard. They contain

Argweld® Trailing Shields for Titanium & Stainless Steel Welding

By using an ARGWELD® Trailing shield welds will be left bright and shiny and eliminate discolouration and oxidation. ARGWELD® Trailing shields will reduce gas consumption, save re-work and eliminate wasted material costs due to oxidation. ARGWELD® Trailing shields can be used for welding stainless steels, duplexes as well as titanium and any other weldable metal where discolouration or oxidation needs to be eliminated. The shields are manufactured to weld flat plate and most diameter tube, pipe

Argweld® Multi Exhaust Pipe Weld Purging Systems from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited thumbnail

Argweld® Multi Exhaust Pipe Weld Purging Systems

Uses less inert gas The volume to be purged is localised. For a typical pipe run, the volume of gas used is less than 2% of that required for a conventional purge. Faster The system is very quick and easy to install. It can be positioned accurately and the dams inflate instantly. The purging time is a fraction of that required to purge by con- ventional methods. Easy to use Argweld® Pipe Purge Systems greatly simplify the process of inert gas purging. Training is minimal, leading to bright shiny

Argweld® Weld Purge Monitor MK V from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited thumbnail

Argweld® Weld Purge Monitor MK V

Keeps waiting time to a minimum The monitor can tell the operator exactly when the Oxygen level is low enough to commence welding. No estimating or guesswork is involved, so no time or gas is wasted waiting for the correct Oxygen level to be reached. Saves on excessive use of inert gas The exact Oxygen content is shown on the monitor so no more inert gas than necessary has to be used to ensure that the weld will be free of oxidation. Prevents weld failures Premature starts on welds are avoided,
