Air Source heat pumps are a very efficient way of providing heat for your hot water or heating system by extracting heat from the air outside and transferring it into a building. They work in a similar way to refrigerators, but in reverse. They are similar in appearance to air-conditioning units and are fitted to the outside of a building.
HOW DOES AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS WORK?
An air source heating system absorbs low grade heat (not very warm air) from the atmosphere and transfers it into high grade heat (hot air) to heat radiators, under floor heating and water systems. They are so efficient that they can continue to extract heat from the air in temperatures as low as -15°C!
HOW MUCH HEAT CAN I GENERATE?
In general heat pumps are 400% efficient, producing 4kW of heat output for every 1kW of electricity used. This makes them ideal for properties which are not supplied by mains gas or rely on heating oil.
A well designed heat pump will provide all your heating and hot water requirements. It is essential that a design survey is carried out on your building to establish the heating requirements of the building and therefore the size of heat pump required
WHAT ARE THE FINANCIAL BENEFITS AND INCENTIVES?
As well as the savings on your annual energy bills, heat pump installations benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). This means that the government will pay you to generate your own heating and hot water.

Futurum install the full range of Italian made Klover pellet stoves and cookers. Most products are MCS approved meaning that you will be able to claim the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (conditions apply).
Futurum are now installing a range of electrical vehicle charging points in domestic and commercial properties often under government subsidies.
We also install Gas Boilers
Solar Thermal generates free hot water from the power of the sun, saving you hundreds of pounds each year.
Biomass heating systems use wood chips, pellets or logs as a source of renewable fuel for heating and hot water
Advise, design and installation of solar panels. We also maintain and repair other peoples systems.
