Mindfulness (MBCT/MBSR) for Stress and Low Mood Course held at the Quaker Meeting House, 74 Mutley Plain, Plymouth PL4 6LF Wednesday evenings, 7.00pm to 9.15pm, starting 24th September 2014 This course will be helpful for those whose quality of life is affected by stress, low mood or depression and anxiety. Over the eight weekly sessions, you will be learning how to experience each moment of your life in ways that bring you a greater sense of clarity, calm and kindness – enormously useful if you have a tendency to get stuck in ways of thinking and behaving that bring distress. This supports long-term changes in how you approach life, enhancing mood and general wellbeing. The course follows the general format of the MBSR and MBCT programmes, which you can learn more about at www.bemindful.co.uk and www.mbct.co.uk. Cost: £195 (concessions are sometimes available; please ask us for more details) You’ll be encouraged to practise mindfulness in everyday activities. CDs with tutor-led instruction will help you practise at home. You don’t need any previous meditation experience, and the course is entirely non-religious and secular. The cost includes a weekend morning retreat and ongoing ‘phone support during course. Course dates: 24th September, 1st October, 8th October, 15th October, (No meeting 22nd October), 29th October, 5th November, 12th November, 19th November.
