The Life Change UK programme of e-learning courses focuss upon the different issues associated with Understanding & Managing Challenging Behaviour.
The courses are relevant to all situations where human interactions and relationships result in demanding patterns of challenging behaviour, particularly for those professionals and volunteers who work with marginalised and often excluded groups of society, including: -

Qualified teachers and trainers as part of their ongoing CPD
Private Work Based Learning and Adult & Community Training Providers
Youth Offending Staff, Police, Probation and Prison Officers
Youth support workers and ConneXions staff
Social workers and CAMHS staff
Children's Centre staff
Parents and Foster Parents
Foster carers and residential care workers
Employment Support staff (Job Centre Plus)
High Street Retail businesses improving customer care
PCT A & E Departments and Paramedics
Each course is equivalent to approximately 10 hours study or a day's face-to-face training. Importantly, it is available as and when needed, with students able to study wherever they have the time and internet access.
Evidence has shown that personal reflective study provides the most effective means of e-learning. The Life Change UK courses are specifically designed to provide such learning. Throughout, students are encouraged to write in their online journal (provided with each course). The more time spent on personal reflection of the course content and the writing of associated notes in the journal, the more students develop a deeper awareness and understanding of the core subjects.
There is no pressure in respect of time. Rather, the programme is designed to allow the student to work at their own pace. Online assessments at the end of various sections and the end of each course enable students to assess their own progression and depth of learning. If necessary, students can revisit sections of the course to study the topic again, re-taking the questions so as to confirm their understanding. Once a student achieves a minimum of 80% correct answers, a completion certificate is automatically awarded.
