This 5 day course is designed to provide middle managers and leaders with a comprehensive range of strategies that will enable them to lead their teams to success. It starts with a focus on building relationships. We learn;why we all view the world so differently, the reasons for our behaviour, what motivates us to action and how we break down the barriers in order to influence behaviour. We put things in context and apply proven strategies to build relationships and gain mutual understanding and trust.
We then become organised and learn how to manage our time more efficiently. We apply the Figurehead PRINCE model to effectively organise and prioritise the workload. We deliver strategies that help us to define responsibility and reduce minor conflict with the Meta Mirror. We evaluate different styles of management and how we can apply each influentially. We uncover the ACE Manager model so we can delegate authority by empowering others with confidence and trust.
We acquire effective communication skills by simply ensuring our communications are always a two-way process and further gain knowledge in how to select the correct medium to convey our message unequivocally. We apply strategies to elicit the full meaning of a communication by gathering information and clarifying any deletions, distortions and generalisations. We assimilate knowledge and deliver the EARS strategy for active listening. The nonverbal communication strategies we deliver are taught to enhance face to face liaisons.
