This 1 day course is designed to look at the factors that effect our motivation. All our students will be presented with life changing information that engenders self-confidence and understanding as we explore 4 reasons for our behaviour. The journey begins by allowing us to consider Maslow’s ‘Hierarchy of Needs’ theory and why we all live in our own unique model of the world. It continues as we learn about the components of personality and the 9 mechanisms for self protection.  Moreover, you will find out why people become overwhelmed and learn coping strategies. After lunch we begin to understand what is stopping people from moving forward. This exercise is extremely beneficial and is often the cause of a real eureka moment in time. We capture this moment so that you can benefit from it when you need it most. Finally, we discover and learn the strategies that lead us from pessimism to optimism.
There are times in all of our lives when we don’t feel particularly enthused to achieve this or do that. And yet at other times something can strike a chord within us and we become focussed, empowered and aroused to such an extent that nothing can prevent us from achieving our desires. The difference between the two states is obvious. However, the motivation for embarking on either pathway has numerous theories. These will be presented to you so that you can evaluate them from both a personal and professional point of view. It will help you to find your own motivation and possibly more importantly you will be able to motivate others to achieve more.
