PERCEPTION

In this lesson we find out how weprocess information and why we all view the world so differently. Our uniqueview of the world can be a barrier to communication and therefore we need tolearn how to overcome barriers through understanding and effective communication.

UNDERSTANDING HOW OTHER PEOPLECOMMUNICATE

In this lesson we discover theall the different subliminal messages people use to protect themselves whilstcommunicating. This provides us with sufficient information to effect changethrough self-motivation and effective communication.

METHODS OF COMMUNICATION

In this lesson we are introducedto the ‘WANT’ business model. This model allows us to identify with thebenefits and shortcomings of 4 different methods of communication for conveyinginformation appropriately.

NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION

In this lesson we discover howpeople process information even without the need for them to speak whichempowers us to become more influential. We also learn body language and thesignals that differentiate between what is being said and what was meant.

MANAGING COMMUNICATION -RESPONSIBILITY

In this lesson we learn how todiscover the areas where accountability and responsibility have not beendefined and then apportion responsibility through consultation, planning,operating, testing and committing to a new process that leads to efficiencies,greater effectiveness and enhanced returns.

ELICITING INFORMATION

In this lesson we begin tounderstand how best to gather information and clarify any deletions distortionsand generalisations. This will empower us to communicate more effectivelybecause ‘the meaning of the communication is the response you get’!

ACTIVE LISTENING

In this lesson we learn aboutactive listening through the business model EARS. We start by learning how tocreate the right environment and then we learn how to encourage meaningfulcommunication  so that we can get to theroot of an issue through compassion and empathy. This model helps buildrelationships and understanding.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS ANDINFLUENCE

In this lesson we find out thebenefits of reducing the perceived unconscious differences between ourselvesand others. It is the starting point of any influencing strategy and isachieved through both verbal and nonverbal communication. We find the positivesolutions in every context so people become self-motivated and more effective.
