Architectural Services - Our role is to turn client dreams and aspirations into reality and it is our belief that the building is the client’s, not ours. Lawray are mere orchestrators of the design, coordinators of the thought process and challengers of the norm. We do this by acting as a critical friend to our clients. We challenge their briefs, we optimise the design and we exhibit leadership skills in everything we do. For us, good architecture lasts because of the people who use it, love it and care for it, creating spaces, places and moments, which all helps to shape and influence people’s lives. Lawray aims to give our clients a sense of longevity, we’ll be there, building relationships from start to finish and beyond. We realize that people are at the heart of good architecture and that is why we put people at the heart of our practice ethos. Protection of the natural environment for generations to come is buried deep in the ethos of Lawray and we apply sustainability principles to all the projects with which we are involved. As design team leaders, we take an active role from the beginning of the project lifecycle to ensure that opportunities are realised from the very start of the design process. We examine options including the site location, orientation, space use and planning, environmental controls and renewable energies in conjunction with other team members and have a thorough understanding of the frameworks available including BREEEM, code for sustainable homes etc. Our success in this field is demonstrated through our track record in delivering projects at high ratings including Combined Services Centre Llandrindod Wells, Ffwrnes Theatre Llanelli and Queen Elizabeth High School Carmanthen.
