STUFF were voted VOLUNTEERING CHAMPIONS in the Stockport Council Proud of Stockport Awards in February 2011.

The Award was presented by Stockport Mayor Hazel Lees and TV Presenter Gordon Burns and was received by Sarah, Jackie, Shirley, May and Margaret on behalf of all STUFF's Volunteers, past and present.

STUFF is a peer led mental health organisation, entirely managed and run by Volunteers. STUFF began in 1999 and has successfully supported people's mental health and recovery for 12 years.

STUFF represent the needs of mental health service users and voices their experiences at meetings throughout Stockport, continually pushing for improvements in services. The Organisation offers support, information and training free of charge to service users and actively works to combat stigma and discrimination.
