Following Leisure’s recent warning about their models
with gas grills, UK brand Belling have drawn
attention to a similar issue affecting gas grills.
These particular Belling models are manufactured at
the same Turkish factory as Leisure’s, and the
UK-produced Kensington and other models are NOT
The gas grill on the
relevant appliances are designed to be used with the
grill door fully open. It has come to Belling’s
attention that IF THE GRILL DOOR IS CLOSED WITH THE
GRILL BURNER LIT, DANGEROUS LEVELS OF CARBON MONOXIDE
CAN BE PRODUCED.
N.B. The below products are perfectly safe to use if
they are operated in accordance with the
(50531081) & Anthracite (50531082)

Belling are in the process of contacting customers
who have bought one of the above products to arrange
for an engineer to carry out a small modification to
the grill door, which will prevent such toxic fumes
being created should the grill door be closed, in
error, when the grill burner is in use.
In the meantime;
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, OPERATE THE GRILL
UNLESS THE GRILL DOOR IS FULLY OPEN.

your contact details, product code number and serial

, so that they
can arrange for one of their engineers to carry out a
safety inspection and carry out any modifications
required. The serial number can be found on the data
plate at the bottom front edge of the appliance.
