Office walls in one of London’s most striking landmarks – the oval-shaped Ark building alongside the A4 at Hammersmith – will be protected from everyday wear-and-tear thanks to Encasement.
The Ark is characterised by its bright, sky-lit spaces, floor-to-roof atrium, scenic elevators and white walls. Famous for it airy, open, deck-like interior, the building has a 370 sq ft ‘crows nest’ which is available for tenants’ meetings.
More than 400 metres of our unique non-toxic wall protection solution EkoBlend have been supplied and applied to the walls in meeting rooms inside this prestigious office development.
EkoBlend provides several significant advantages to the Ark and other buildings where it has been used. The material contains no PVC or Halogen which removes the risk of toxic and other harmful fumes in any outbreak of fire or attack from corrosive chemicals.
As a flame-retardant, F1-Class rated material the wall covering is ideal for use in a range of building environments. As well as its safety advantages, EkoBlend is ecologically-friendly and completely recyclable.
This practical and increasingly-popular product is non-porous which reduces cleaning and other maintenance costs. It is unaffected by UV and artificial lighting which preserves product colours over longer periods.
EkoBlend was applied to the Ark office walls in 300mm wide white strips. It is available in a variety of colours and sizes.
Encasement Managing Director Martin Taylor said: “Our unique wall protection sheets provide an easy yet highly-effective solution to protect walls and doors against scuffing, scratching and everyday damage caused by contact and impact from chairs and other office furniture.”
