A series of 300mm diameter Circa pre-formed plywood column casings are adding to the stylish interior of a new combined Ferrari and Maserati dealership in Solihull, Birmingham, which is the first to embody Ferrari’s new corporate identity.
Graypaul Birmingham is part of the Sytner Group and the construction of the new dealership from conception to completion was completed in 12 months, with the Encasement column casings being used inside the stunning glazed showroom to conceal structural columns.
Finished in a light cream colour, the 3 metre high column casings are designed to integrate with the showroom interior and be indistinguishable from a small number of circular concrete columns, which are also used in the showroom’s design.
Martin Taylor, Encasement’s Managing Director, said: "Automotive brands, don’t come much bigger than Ferrari and Maserati and the showroom’s interior is designed perfectly to display these incredible vehicles. In some installations, our casings are used to provide a feature to a building’s exterior or interior, but in this case they are designed to be as unobtrusive as possible to ensure all attention is focused on the cars."
