A Decade of Delivery – Project Resource Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

We are delighted to announce that on the 1st of October we celebrated our 10th anniversary! We wanted to take this opportunity to look back on our first decade in business and highlight some of the exciting changes we've undergone to become the organisation we are today.

Formed in 2002 by Managing Directors Bill Wynn and Derek Scott following their belief in a need for a quality driven, professional recruitment service for the UK construction sector we began trading on the 1st October 2002 with an initial focus on Commercial Management & Quantity Surveying expanding to include Planning & Project Controls shortly thereafter.
The company quickly grew with the hiring of Karen Ingram and Ridda Michail and the expansion of the business to supply other, specialist professions. It is a point of pride at Project Resource that both Karen and Ridda are still with us today; Karen now working as our head of internal recruitment and Ridda, as our most senior recruitment consultant and a key member of our London office.
The company continued to grow and expand over the next 5 years. We opened our 2nd office in Solihull (West Midlands) to provide a more local presence for the employers and job seekers we worked with in the Midlands and the North of England. This office, opened in 2008 and initially led by then Regional Manager, now Sales Director Andrew Szklarek, has gone from success to success and is now one of our largest sales teams and is where our dedicated training centre is located.
Our ethos of providing a local presence to help us better understand the recruitment landscape in which we operate as well as the needs of job seekers and employers prompted us to open our 3rd office in Manchester in July 2011 quickly followed by our London office in August 2011. Both offices have grown considerably in their first year of operation, so much so in fact that both have had to move to larger offices to cope with the growth in size of the teams!
We have continued to expand our offering, moving into bid management & estimating, project controls, design management and design engineering, always hiring and training specialist consultants to ensure that our staff are the most knowledgeable and professional in the business.
The future is now very exciting for Project Resource. The next 6 months will see the opening of two new offices; a new UK office to help us deliver the same quality of service to our customers in the East Anglia region as well as our first overseas office set to commence trading on the 4th February in Perth, Australia.
We are also broadening our focus, which has traditionally been on the construction, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors to include energy, power & natural resources, engineering & manufacturing and property, real estate & facilities management. We believe that by expanding our offering we will be able to provide better options to our job seekers and help support all areas of our valued clients' businesses.
