 When Newbury-based marketing solutions provider Marketingunity needed a new CRM solution, they turned to Perceptive Online, specialists in hosted and managed services. Having used Perceptive's popular hosted email service for a couple of years and been impressed with the solution, service and pricing, it was natural for Marketingunity to turn to them again when in early 2008 they needed to address the restrictions of their CRM system. The company's existing system was limited in a number of ways. Ease of use - anywhere
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 has acquitted itself well, too. Chris explained: "The key thing for us is that Dynamics has been designed from the ground up as a hosted, web-accessed system. That's great as it means we can access it - entirely securely - from wherever we are: in the office, at home or out on the road." Ease of use is also a big plus for Chris: "It's enormously more flexible than our old system: you can use it however you want, and doing things like adding new fields is really easy. It's also highly intuitive - nine times out of ten, when I need to do something new, I can guess correctly how to go about it. That reduces the amount of time spent messing around with help screens and manuals, which is of course a very good thing."
Competitive and flexible pricing
One might expect to pay a premium for such benefits, but pricing is another area in which Dynamics CRM 4.0 from Perceptive Online scores well. There are no up-front charges. Instead, the solution is available for a monthly per-user fee. As well as offering significant savings and being much easier to manage from a budgetary point of view than traditional systems, the monthly payments are allowable as revenue costs against profits for tax purposes. The pricing model is also highly flexible: Marketingunity can add or remove users whenever necessary. "Perceptive are highly skilled and have exactly the right attitude - they've engineered a sea change for us," Chris summed up. "In Dynamics CRM they've given us a system which enables us to get on with running our business. It works they way we want it to, Perceptive takes care of all the background admin such as updates and backups, and we're making tidy savings as well.
