Car drivers who passed their test in 1997 or later will be restricted to 3.5 tonnes so will usually be unable to drive minibuses with double axles.  We can train these drivers to D1 (17 seats) or D (more than 17 seats).  However the MiDAS standard is nationally recognised and MiDAS drivers are permitted to drive the minibuses of other organisations who subscribe to MiDAS training.  We are certified to teach drivers to the MiDAS standard.  We are also qualified to train in the equipment used on accessible minibuses.
