They Advantage Of Callaway Drivers

By:  06/12/2013

Callaway has grown from a hickory stick golf equipment company with products sold from founder Eli Callaway's trunk to one of the leading brands in golf. The company revolutionized woods with the Big Bertha and hasn't looked back, releasing some of the most progressive designs in the marketplace. Callaway's Hyperbolic Face Cup, S2SH forgiveness and Fusion Technology designs have helped establish the company as a popular choice among professional and amateur golfers. Fusion Technology Callaway's patented Fusion Technology melds carbon pieces to form the body of the clubhead. The process allows designers to move weight around the driver to optimize ball flight and performance. The fusion process gives designers more freedom than those limited to single piece and single material clubheads. Pro Quality The FT-9 and FT Tour have been used in PGA Tour competition by Phil Mickelson, Callaway's flagship endorser and ranked as one of the world's best golfers as of 2010. Mickelson's prodigious drives are dependent on his ability to move the ball, draw or fade his tee shots on command. Since 2009, Mickelson has used the FT-9 and FT Tour in PGA Tour events, including using a customized version of the FT Tour golf clubs for sale during his 2010 Masters tournament victory. Forgiveness The introduction of the FT-IQ in 2009 brought boxy drivers to a new level with what appeared to be a dual exhaust system coming from the rear of the club. Modeled after successful geometrically dynamic offerings from Cleveland Golf, the FT-IQ was a bit too radical for the golfing public. Callaway produced a more forgiving model in 2010, the FT-IZ. The FT-IZ has a more triangular head shape, similar to the TaylorMade Burner series of woods. It features "polar weighting," with the bulk of the weight concentrated in the rear of the clubhead and the front of the clubface to promote square contact with the ball. Distance Gains Callaway's Hyperbolic Face Cup, introduced in its X series of drivers, allows for higher ball speed from all parts of the clubface by creating a uniform face thickness. The Callaway X Hot Driver is a modular design consisting of four separate pieces in a more aerodynamic head shape. Callaway claims the Diablo Edge reduces drag by 8 percent compared with similar-sized clubheads made by competitors, resulting in significant distance gains. Callaway on Tour Some of the longest hitters in professional golf, as of 2010, trust Callaway drivers. Players like Phil Mickelson, Spain's Alviro Quiros and three-time major champion Ernie Els use FT series drivers regularly. Players using Callaway drivers in 2010 won the Masters, U.S. Open and Wales Open. For more details, you can visit
