We are a small family business based in Weston-super-Mare and have strong African connections, so what could have been more natural for us than to want our food from home. Our shop, Kalahari Lapa, was born on 1 March 2009, and what is a South African shop without biltong?

Our biltong is simply the most naturally made biltong you can get without using a baobab tree to hang it under. There are no preservative or colourants used, this shows in the traditional taste of our biltong.

Here you can buy not only your biltong but traditonal, garlic and peri peri dry wors. The wors are made by a local butcher who has the skills and expertise to have won the award of best boerewors for 8 years.  For your braai we stock varieties of boerewors from traditional to cheese and from chilli to kosher. The Kosher wors are made without pork using a lamb and beef mix which has proved very popular.

A visit to our cafe is like stepping into one at home. We have wors rolls, our vetkoek are served with curry, steak or even cheese and honey. You could have a Creme Soda float or guava juice or a Castle or Amstel to wash it down. We can even supply you with your bunny chows, because your wish is our command. Look at our menu to see what you fancy for lunch today.
